What is Nervikan 160 mg/80 mg, 60 coated tablets, used for?

Nervikan 160 mg/80 mg is a hypnotic and central nervous system sedative used to treat mild, occasional nervousness and difficulty sleeping. Thanks to its active ingredients, valerian and lemon balm, Nervikan is indicated to relieve mild states of nervous tension and help you fall asleep.

Who can take Nervikan 160 mg/80 mg, 60 coated tablets?

Nervikan tablets can be taken by adults and children over 12 years of age. It is not recommended for use in children under this age.

How to take Nervikan 160 mg/80 mg, 60 coated tablets

The dosage of Nervikan 160 mg/80 mg varies depending on the symptom being treated. For nervousness, 1 tablet may be taken 3 times a day, i.e. every 8 hours. To aid sleep, we recommend taking 2 tablets 30–60 minutes before going to bed. You must always follow the dosage indicated in the leaflet for Nervikan 60 tablets (valerian and lemon balm).

Contraindications

EachNervikan 160 mg/80 mg tablet contains the following active ingredients: 160 mg of dry extract, obtained using 70% v/v ethanol, from the root of Valeriana officinalis (Valerian), equivalent to 480–960 mg of dry Valerian root, and 80 mg of dry extract, obtained using 36% v/v ethanol, from the leaves of Melissa officinalis (Lemon Balm), equivalent to 320–480 mg of dried Lemon Balm leaves.

Excipients include: sucrose, anhydrous colloidal silica, crospovidone, hydrogenated castor oil, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, talc, hypromellose, stearic acid, vanillin, sodium saccharin, simethicone, methylcellulose, sorbic acid, colouring agents: titanium dioxide (E-171) and indigo carmine (E-132).
