Radwag® DJ-04 Antistatic Ionizer, WX-001-0097

An antistatic ionizer is used to eliminate excess positive and negative ions from the load, balance components, and surrounding environment. By neutralizing the electrical charges in the air, the ionizer helps achieve a near-equilibrium of positive and negative ions.

An imbalance of these ions in the air often leads to unwanted electrostatic effects—such as attraction or repulsion—especially between closely positioned components. This is common with non-conductive materials like plastic or glass. Since some parts of the balance are made from these materials, electrostatic interference can significantly impact their function and measurement accuracy. Such interference may result in increased repeatability errors or amplified indication errors.
